Kimberly Greenway

Kimberly Greenway joined the Whitesburg Animal Hospital team as a veterinary technician in 1998 and is now the Practice Manager. She has been active in establishing the Veterinary Technician and Practice Managers Association of North Alabama, and is a member of the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association and the American Animal Hospital Association.

She has two dogs, a Rat Terrier named Rosalia and a Chihuahua named Amigo; and two cats Ellie and Kirk. She spends her free time camping and canoeing with her family, reading, cooking and home improvement projects.

The relationships she has developed with the staff, clients and patients over the past 11 years is something she greatly treasures. "I enjoy working with team members who are excited to continue learning more about our chosen field and are equally committed to providing patients with quality medical care."

Mandi Golden

In early 2007, Mandi Golden joined the Whitesburg Animal Hospital family as our Lead Customer Service Representative. She has been in the animal care field since 2003 and is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association.

Asked what she likes best about her work, Amanda says, "I enjoy seeing the interaction between pets and their owners. There is always something new to be learned in the veterinary medical field and I appreciate that we all work together as a team."

At home, Amanda has a 4-year-old Maine Coon cat named Butters. She also enjoys fishing, cooking and baking, hosting events, photography, scrapbooking and travel.

Kristen Perry

Kristen Perry joined Whitesburg Animal Hospital in July 2002 as a kennel attendant and is now our Lead Veterinary Technician. After receiving her Associates Degree in Applied Science in Veterinary Technology, she obtained national and Alabama licensure. She has been active in establishing the Veterinary Technician and Practice Managers Association of North Alabama and is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association.

She has a Jack Russell Terrier named Cooper and a mixed breed named Tank as well as a cat named Socks. When she isn't working she enjoys reading, movies, yard work, bike riding and spending time with family.

"Whitesburg Animal Hospital practices with the best standards of care following protocols set by the American Animal Hospital Association," says Kristen when asked what she finds most compelling about her work. "The ability to provide patients with this level of care enables me to feel my self-worth and confidence as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. I also cherish the relationships I have developed at Whitesburg; the staff members are not just coworkers, but caring friends as well. We also have many clients that we consider part of the Whitesburg family and it brings me happiness to be able to support and lend my skills to the care of our clients' pets."

Shelly Rhoades

Kennel Manager Shelly Rhoades joined Whitesburg Animal Hospital in March of 2008. She has a cat named Xanadu and spends her free time cooking, being outdoors, near the water, and music – whether listening or creating her own.

"Working here has allowed me to experience the vulnerable relationship between pets and their families. I truly love my job and look forward to expanding my knowledge daily."
