Kimberly Greenway
Kimberly Greenway joined the Whitesburg Animal Hospital team as a veterinary technician in 1998 and is now the Practice Manager. She has been active in establishing the Veterinary Technician and Practice Managers Association of North Alabama, and is a member of the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association and the American Animal Hospital Association.
She has two dogs, a Rat Terrier named Rosalia and a Chihuahua named Amigo; and two cats Ellie and Kirk. She spends her free time camping and canoeing with her family, reading, cooking and home improvement projects.
The relationships she has developed with the staff, clients and patients over the years is something she greatly treasures. "I enjoy working with team members who are excited to continue learning more about our chosen field and are equally committed to providing patients with quality medical care."
Mandi Hale
In early 2007, Mandi Hale joined the Whitesburg Animal Hospital family as our Lead Customer Service Representative. She has been in the animal care field since 2003 and is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association.
Asked what she likes best about her work, Mandi says, "I enjoy seeing the interaction between pets and their owners. There is always something new to be learned in the veterinary medical field and I appreciate that we all work together as a team."
At home, Mandi has a Maine Coon cat named Butters. She also enjoys fishing, cooking and baking, hosting events, photography, scrapbooking and travel.
Kristen Fling, LVT
Kristen Fling joined Whitesburg Animal Hospital in July 2002 as a kennel attendant and is now our Lead Veterinary Technician. After receiving her Associates Degree in Applied Science in Veterinary Technology, she obtained national and Alabama licensure. She has been active in establishing the Veterinary Technician and Practice Managers Association of North Alabama and is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association.
She has a Jack Russell Terrier named Cooper and a mixed breed named Tank as well as a cat named Socks. When she isn't working she enjoys reading, movies, yard work, bike riding and spending time with family.
"Whitesburg Animal Hospital practices with the best standards of care following protocols set by the American Animal Hospital Association," says Kristen when asked what she finds most compelling about her work. "The ability to provide patients with this level of care enables me to feel my self-worth and confidence as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. I also cherish the relationships I have developed at Whitesburg; the staff members are not just coworkers, but caring friends as well. We also have many clients that we consider part of the Whitesburg family and it brings me happiness to be able to support and lend my skills to the care of our clients' pets."
Deborah Coward:
Kennel Manager, Deborah Coward joined the staff of Whitesburg Animal Hospital in March of 2008. In her free time, Deborah enjoys geocaching and spending time outdoors with her dog, Bear. Deborah is a former member of the HEMSI Search and Rescue Team.
